It turns out that lots of scenes lack emotional weight and make people feel "This is unreasonable, or even illogical."

The feeling is quite strong as I watched the last three episodes of season 8 — "The Last of the Starks", "The Bells", and "The Iron Throne". These three episodes even get the poorest ratings on IMDB in Game of Thrones history. Over 1.6 million people signed a Change.org petition asking HBO to remake the final season with competent writers. But is Game of Thrones season 8 truly that bad?

In my view, what episode 1 to episode 2 have done in season 8 is still satisfying, as we know the scene which portrays on Jamie and Brienne in episode 2. You can feel the characters' fear and sadness before the great battle. And episode 1 actually did a good job in gathering the main characters together to prepare for the great battle.

Probably you still think Game of Thrones deserved better. Think in the bright side, we can still look forward to books 6 & 7 for Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin after all, right?
